Abstract:

Most existing modeling methods, used for reliability analysis of tracking, telemetry and command (TT&C) and communication systems, can only deal with general TT&C and communication tasks. This paper shows: (1) formal description of TT&C and communication tasks, which can facilitate building the reliability models; (2) model of an idle task arc. A task is divided into several arcs (or phases), and the one in which resources are running but no tasks are implemented is called an idle task arc; (3) model of TT&C and communication tasks in consecutive flight phases. Examples with numerical results show efficiency of our modeling methods.
