The
book as can be seen from the table of contents (TOC) comprises 23 chapters or articles collected from various authors trying to define the state-of-art of reliability modelling, analysis, optimization and testing besides providing a compendium on software quality and reliability besides discussing some of the problems in maintenance and inspection problems in the year 2006. The Editor since then has compiled several handbooks or books which provide an updated version of these areas published under different publisher –the reviews of which have been published earlier in the International Journal of Performability Engineering. The reviewer feels that such compilations from time to time are helpful for researchers in the area. This book, therefore, will be a good addition to the library of a research organization or technical university..
